Samantha's Garden
Samantha's Garden is a line of jewelry dedicated to my niece Samantha.
Samantha is 9 years old and has been battling Leukemia for almost three years now. This brave little girl is an inspiration to all who know her. She has already gone through the aggressive chemotherapy and is now on a maintenance regimen, though her battle is far from over.
Her family struggles everyday to pay for her treatment. Though they currently have insurance, there was a time when they thought they were going to lose that coverage. That didn't matter to the caring, loving doctor treating her. He was willing to continue her treatment regardless of the family's ability to pay. In speaking with his nurse, I also learned that he has given patients money out of his own pocket to ensure they were able to continue with their cancer treatments.
I want to do something that lets doctors like him know just how much they are appreciated, so a portion of the profit of every piece sold from Samantha's Garden will be donated to that wonderful doctor to help pay for treatment for those who struggle.
